  SIDESHAFTS: A sideshaft is a system that transfers power from a differential to the wheels allowing articulation and movements due to steering or suspension travel. In most applications, the inboard CV Joint is a plunge joint that allows the effective length of the sideshaft to adjust due to suspension movement. PROPSHAFTS: Propshafts can incorporate cardan joints, flexible couplings or any of GKN Driveline’s wide range of highspeed constant velocity joints, connected by steel, aluminium or composite tubes. One or two-piece designs are available at GKN Driveline Mexico with various options for intermediate bearings, slip devices, crash optimization, vibration damping and plunge capacity.
